We met Francesa more than 10 years ago, when she became one of our dearest friends and nothing bring us more joy than to see people close to us succeed and become someone you can look up to..
Tell us something about yourself.
My name is Francesca, I am 37 years old and I work as a Fashion Trend Analyst, I am from Italy but have been living in Spain for the las 12 years. I fell in love with Barcelona when I first came here on a summer holidays and I never looked back.
When did you know you wanted to source trends in the Fashion Industry?
One of my first professional job in Barcelona was in a P.R agency called Dementes, we were always looking for the next big thing happening in the city and my old boss, seeing my never ending curiosity about everything, always encouraged me to find a job within the Fashion community giving my background ( I studied Human Anthropology at the University), so when the opportunity came, I jump into it and I have been enjoying it since.
What is it that you like the most of what you do?
I have always had the need to discover what is the new thing going on, what I love the most about my job is the travelling, being able to be the first to see the beginnings of any project around the world and to meet different people with different backgrounds. Obviously, the pandemic has changed the rules of the game while we were playing it, but what I have witness is how a lot of independent and really creative projects are flourishing, the fact that productions were put on hold have pushed the minds of lots of designers that are rethinking the way the made fashion and where the inspiration to do so comes from.
Where do you see yourself in your future?
Let’s see…in 10 years I see myself working in my own company, dedicated to curate ethical and sustainable fashion brands…because that my friends, is the future of Fashion. Right know my main goal is to find different ways to transform Fashion in a truly circular Industry, and honestly there is no better time to do so than now, This situation has pushed us to give a new life to things we already had and to rediscover old things that will become our new.
